Retail Realm Brings Global Partners Together Via International Conferences

As a global company, it is important for us at Retail Realm to create opportunities that bring together our international partners and resellers…face to face. In the backdrop of retail technologies and software solutions, we know it is the close business relationships within our entire channel that ensure future success.

This is one of the primary reasons why we host annual international partner conferences—to fully engage the reseller community in an informative, educational and inspirational environment. This year, in September and October, we hosted these conferences in London and Dubai, and, in turn, strengthened the Microsoft Dynamics community on a global scale. 

The conferences included attendees from all over the Middle East and Europe, such as Germany, Sweden, the UK, and Ireland, to name a few. Keynote speaker, Michael Griffiths (Microsoft’s Global Director, Retail & Distribution) provided an update about the latest Microsoft Dynamics Retail roadmap and related product news, including more creative and customizable opportunities for companies using Dynamics Retail software and Sharepoint.

We also shared more about our AX Alliance and how its purpose is to establish within the retail vertical an ecosystem of specialized partners strategically positioned to sell and deliver Microsoft Dynamics AX for Retail globally. The EMEA resellers learned about the targeted markets, our role within the Alliance, as well as the benefits of participating. It was thrilling to see the attendees express their interest in joining our alliance and to share their positive vibe regarding our increased marketing and communication efforts in their territories. 

Breanna Bocchi, Retail Realm’s Marketing Manager, also presented about our current marketing efforts and communications vision, including expanding our partner solutions into new markets and territories, equipping our resellers with tools to more effectively sell Microsoft Dynamics RMS, extending our partner reach globally, and stepping up efforts to continually keep our channel informed about the latest in retail and Microsoft news.

We also announced that in addition to weekly email blasts and announcements, we will host bi-monthly webinars for both our U.S. and EMA resellers as well as aggressively promote our partners and solutions via all communication outlets, including our social media. 

Adding to an info-packed day were additional presentations about RMS updates and add-on modules / Utilities (eReceipts, Kitchen Video Display, Gift Receipts, Lemon Receipt and Wallet, Transaction Tracker, etc.) and also upcoming conferences we are planning on either hosting or attending, which include our 3rd annual ‘Microsoft Dynamics Retail Technology’ conference in Las Vegas on January 25 – 27, 2013.

Needless to say, our international conferences helped to make our global channel a bit closer and more personable. Retail Realm Sets Sail and Adds Microsoft Dynamics Retail Software to BlueStar’s Solution Equation

Imagine a 3-day conference comprised of educationally intense workshops and informative presentations about the latest industry trends. Picture yourself walking through a diverse exhibit room showcasing hardware and software solutions in POS, Digital Signage, Mobility and Wireless, Healthcare, as well as Government and Education. And then think about the almost 1,400 attendees from various verticals throughout North and Latin Americas who are brushing shoulders with you.

Now, look out the window. You see the ocean…all around you. Yes, that’s right. You’re on a Carnival Cruise boat and about to benefit greatly from a Floating Tradeshow in The Bahamas.  

If you were part of BlueStar’s mobile VARTECH conference on October 5-8, 2012, you would have likely stopped by our Retail Realm exhibit table and/or met our VP of Sales & Marketing, Louis Piedra, and our LATAM Sales Director, Andrea Vesga.

Retail Realm was thrilled to participate in this event and to strengthen our relationship with BlueStar because in doing so, we can continue to ensure that our channel benefits from offering their customers a complete retail solution. In this way, we add to the solution equation (hardware + software + service + support).

Three main insights and opportunities we gained (besides weight from eating the delicious food) from the conference were:

  • Interacting with and learning from BlueStar’s thousands of resellers; it was important for us to use this event as a platform to introduce the Microsoft Dynamics retail software solutions to hardware companies
  • Finding new resellers who are interested in selling Microsoft Dynamics Retail products, many of whom will be attending our upcoming 2013 retail technology conference
  • Building a closer relationship with key product and business managers from BlueStar in order to optimize our sales and market strategies to both our channels

While BlueStar’s floating tradeshow concept was indeed creative and well-received, it was the event’s informative workshops, high-profile exhibitors, diverse attendees, and positive environment that made the show such a success. We are thankful to have experienced it firsthand.

Retail Realm will Exhibit at the 2012 VARTECH Event hosted by BlueStar

On October 5-8, 2012, we are setting sail for the Bahamas with hundreds of software and hardware resellers in the retail industry. Hosted by BlueStar, the Mobile VARTECH cruise will offer workshops designed to educate people about the latest trends and technologies, including Mobility/ADC, RFID, Point-of-Sale & Digital Signage, Security Solutions, as well as Healthcare, Government, and Education. 

A fun and unique component of the event will allow attendees to work with the BlueStar production crew to create a corporate video for sales and marketing purposes.

Representing our company will be Louis Piedra (VP of Sales & Marketing) and Andrea Vesga (Sales Director, LATAM), so be sure to look for them at our Exhibitor booth and say "Hi" or "Hola"!

This VARTECH event will enable us to establish a closer relationship with BlueStar, directly engage with resellers in the retail vertical, showcase the Microsoft Dynamics solutions we distribute and sell (i.e., Microsoft Dynamics RMS, 'AX for Retail,' and POS2009), and also meet leading hardware companies that support the retail environment. 

We're thrilled to use this event as a platform to show retail hardware resellers how the Microsoft software solutions are a perfect fit for their hardware. By teaming with them, we together will be able to successfully target and meet the retail demands for all market segments. The scoop about Retail Realm's SPA DAY Event at our Retail Technology Conference!

The Ultimate Relaxing and Relationship-Building Event…Before Our Retail Technology Conference!

At Retail Realm we feel it’s necessary to provide fun and relationship-building opportunities for the RMS community to network within the channel in a more personable environment. On Friday, Jan 27, 2012, Retail Realm hosted a Spa Event prior to our Microsoft Dynamics retail technology conference at the award-winning Green Valley Ranch Spa in Henderson, Nevada (a few minutes from the Vegas strip)! With over 15 participants, our Retail Realm representatives, resellers and retailers were able to network, bond and celebrate the start of a retail technology filled weekend.

Upon arriving at the spa--or what seemed to be a resort in the Bahamas!-- the aroma of the lit candles (featured on ‘Oprah’s Favorite Things’ list!) immediately relaxed our senses. We were then greeted by the friendly staff of the GVR Spa and took advantage of their 5-star massages, facials, and nail services. Whether it was in their state of the art fitness center, Jacuzzi, steam, sauna, or many areas to lounge, all of our attendees were able to reach their desired point of relaxation and escape into their own paradise,…and get to know each other along the way.






Like all great things, our Spa day (or as we like to call it, our ‘mini vacation’) came to an end. Rejuvenated and refreshed, our participants returned to their hotel rooms with a GVR Spa and Retail Realm sponsored goodie bag in-hand to prep for private party sponsored by Mercury Payment Systems to kick off our Welcome Reception at PURE Nightclub!

Our 2nd annual 'Microsoft Dynamics Retail' Reseller and User Conference is just around the corner, and we're excited! Already we have more than doubled the number of exhibitors from last year and greatly increased attendance! This year, we're adding to this global retail technology conference with a golf tournament and spa day so that our attendees have additional (and fun!) ways to interact and network with each other!

Retail Realm Sweetens RMS with Lemon

We're excited to talk about Lemon! For our upcoming retail technology conference in Las Vegas next month, we plan on showcasing fresh concepts in the retail world. With that in mind, we're including Lemon as one of our opening Keynotes!
